Manifesto of Novelty

We as artists believe from experience, and experience only, that there are other dimensions that are possible for anyone to see. We are retrieving artefacts from this place, however there is inevitable difficulty simple to transfer the ineffable beauty seen from the peak of imaginative states into an artefact of this world. Therefore the artist is the one who is skilled in the development of firstly, understanding the nature of vision and illusion and then applying it directly to what is seen by the eye. Only then is the “quest for deciphering a technique that renders visible this understanding” able to begin.
We are not interested in the medium (oil, digital, video, sound, projection), what needs to be evoked is an entirely new understanding of vision and its meaning – namely; pointing towards the illusory state that is present right in front of you. This is the meaningful art, the one that is breathing philosophical insight into the very room you stepped into. The painting must be alive in itself

We are not interested in symbols, or final complete ideas. Abstract expressionism started this idea, but capped itself with rudimentary and simple techniques of its most basic form. We believe that the symbol represents a blockage to novelty. That a symbol is analogous to the “Chinese whispers of culture”, where raw unlimited potential is eventually whittled down to simple to Stop and Go symbolism. Our example for the fallacy of the symbol is the idea of an alien; which for most, instantly brings to mind a green or grey thin being, with bigger eyes, and smoother skin, something akin to a cross between a lizard and human. Others would imagine a trillion tentacled supernova like creature with gnashing mouths that sprayed crystallising formations hovering for all to see in 4D. “What does an alien look like?” Is the question that artists use to evaluate the depth of their imaginations rabbit hole, along with their ability to shed the values of this world in order to open up uncontrolled vistas.

The problem then remains one of technique: how can one bring back the brilliant visions of an entirely novel alien that is a true artefact of the imagination. We believe a smaller amount of artists are studying the details of the visions and transcribing those details into old techniques such as painting, photography, digital etc. They are trying to “re-create” the previous vision they had seen from their memory association with real world visual apparatus. (Dalis morphing clocks represent a symbol of fusion between contrasting elements. However they are but a simple addition of two elements (liquidity and clock), both from this Earth. There is a very basic limit to this type of imagination).

We believe that one should not be focusing on the minor visual details, but of how big the difference between natural values and chaotic, imaginative values are. Once one has seen an object in this hyper dimension, it becomes obvious that it could not have been produced from this Earth. All personal values change, and one is finally uprooted from the locked faculty of viewing the world through eyeballs, one has opened a channel to the minds eye, where reality no longer bound by logic.

We are creating a visual language that shows the simplification of relationships between entities. We are articulating a multi-levelled awareness of the detail (in the image) and the entire composition. The atomic structure realised by Dali was simply the basic understanding of coincidence oppositorum. That there is an inherit seamlessness between large and small states – ie how large structures are made of smaller structures, which are made of smaller structures onwards to infinity. This fractal nature of the universe is an interconnectedness between all things, and is the non-dual state of mind which Eastern philosophers have been understanding for millennia.

We believe that morphogenic fields are created at the time of any creative act – this is a new field from a blank slate and is receptive to whatever energy it is given. This new field contains an energy signature, that is given back to the viewer. It is this energy signature, and not the physical remnants that is fundamental at work. Since there is no distinctive differential point between the distinguishing the two (physical remnants and psychological influence) one can focus on either one or the other. By focusing on the psychological influence in essentially abstract symbolism, the viewer is able to cognitively process the psychology, rather than the symbol. This field is created as an artist tries to mimic the internal architecture of their signature pattern in various forms of art.

The degree to which this is present, is the degree to which the artist has first synthesised the work in his mind. By tracing, and constructing these images those thought lines are embedded inside the field of this product. This field is not yet understood by science, but is the field that sympathetic vibrations are made of.

We believe that any idea can be achieved – it is only insufficient technique that restricts one.
We believe that any idea is unlimited – it always represents a point at which you have stopped.
We are in favour of individual exploration the best source of knowledge acquirement.
We are exploring the birthplace of novelty. We define this as: entering what was previously seen as a function of the mind.

Think of the visual creative acts that occur inside the head –

1. Memory - no new information generated, but no source

2. Problem solving - generation of novelty from limited components

3. Imagination - role-playing scenarios, imagining others verbal stories

4. Dreaming - bizarre things, but related to this world and its traits, forms, styles, patterns etc

5. Lucid dreaming - being awake while dreaming, controlling imagination visually

6. Astral projection - seeing things that aren't related to memory, the earth etc

7. the Dreamtime – an alternate, self-persisting, higher dimension inhabited with intelligence and of completely different logical values and natural laws. We believe this is most likely a 4th dimension which is simply unrecognisable during most states.

Our only goal is in creating the best representations from experiences of the Dreamtime. This is where we have been. This is where our art is from. The degree of novelty we bring back will either convince you or not – we are not selling out.
